Materials Science is discipline, which deals with the principles of development and improvement of materials by providing them specific functional properties and characterizing their structure and features. It is an interdisciplinary branch of science, that combines the engineering expertise with knowledge of materials structure and technology, which are irreplaceable in the selection of the most appropriate materials during the design process of each device.
The Materials Science study program brings together a wide range of knowledge in the field of polymeric, metallic, ceramic, and composite materials. Our graduates are experts appreciated in many sectors of industry in the whole Europe. They find a position of: designers, constructors, material technologists, quality control managers, or specialists in recycling and environmental friendly technologies.
First degree studies (bachelor), provide knowledge and practical skills in the wide range of basic sciences, courses from the scope of fundamentals in materials science and technology, engineering graphics and also supplementary courses, which provide basic knowledge in economic, social and information technology sciences, etc. It takes 7 semesters.

Student recruitment for given academic year begins in May and lasts until mid-July. Candidates sign up electronically, and then provide set of required documents.

The candidate must hold a high school diploma or another equivalent document attesting that its holder is eligible for admission to 1st cycle (undergraduate) higher education programmes in the country in which he/she completed secondary school or which may give the holder such right in Poland.
