MSc in Nanophysics and Mesoscopic Materials – modelling and applications is a specialization conducted in cooperation with the Université du Maine - Le Mans.The graduate receives a double diploma (Polish and French) which confirms the competence in understanding of physical processes taking place in nano- and mesoscopic structures. The studies deliver also in-depth knowledge in solid-state physics, latest industry materials and technologies and molecular modelling.
The course of studies assumes two internships in the Université du Maine – Le Mans and laboratory classes in Silesian Centre for Education and Interdisciplinary Research in Chorzów.

Career opportunities:
The graduate is prepared to work, among others, in the laboratory environment in the industry, science and education institutions, but also as a science journalist. The graduate is accustomed to constantly broaden his knowledge and to put it into practice. Apart from the strict scientific knowledge, mastered computer techniques may prove useful in the future career in the insurance, banking or management companies

The programme is open to candidates who have obtained a Bachelor’s (or MSc) degree in Physics, Medical Physics, Technical Physics or in a related field of science.The admission is dependant on the final grade on the Bachelor's or Master's diploma.
Note: If former stage of candidate's education was not conducted in English, the candidate is required to submit a certificate of fluency in English on B2 level at least.
