The programme of studies allows students to obtain advanced knowledge in following specializations: medical biology; molecular biology; biotechnology of plants, fungi and lichens; plant ecology and nature protection; animal ecology; embryology and cytology of plants; evolutionary genetics; hydrobiology; microbiology; neurophysiology; paleoecology and archeobotany; parasitology; taxonomy and phylogeography; toxicology of water environment.
Graduates of second-cycle studies are prepared both for work in scientific institutions and in specialised laboratories, such as biotechnology companies producing and transferring new technologies, as well as in industry, administration and environmental protection institutions.
