The Magnificent Seven

Kateryna Fadieieva from Ukraine, Gregory Phelan from Ireland, Safya Elsharkawy from Egypt, Hatice Kübra Öz from Turkey, Anastasiia Kononenko from Ukraine, Nasim Mondal from India, Michail Koutentakis from Greece are the winners of Interstudent 2025.

The competition, organised by the Perspektywy Education Foundation as part of the “Study in Poland” programme (www.studyinpoland.pl), implemented jointly with the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP), has been supporting the best and most engaged international students studying at Polish universities for the last fifteen years. This year the task was particularly difficult, as we received almost 150 nominations, which is why the list of winners is longer than usual – four Special Awards have been granted.

The jury selects winners from among foreigners studying on BA, MA, and PhD level at public and private universities, in Polish or other language, whose activities enrich the local academic environment and helps to build bridges between cultures.

We are searching for young people from all over the world, who enrich not just the Polish universities, but also their entire surroundings with their activities,” says Dr. Bianka Siwińska, the Chair of the Perspektywy Education Foundation. “They are the worldwide ambassadors of our universities and of Poland.”

In the 2025 edition the Jury chaired by Prof. Marek Pawełczyk, chairman of the KRASP International Committee, rector of the Silesian University of Technology, after analysing 148 nominations for students from 41 countries, granted the following awards:
