Course Description

Course Profile

Intercultural Communication is a unique MA programme conducted entirely in English. Succeeding in the rapidly changing XXI society requires mastering skills of an effective intercultural communication. Rooted in the globalized world main issues our programme offers the students a chance:

  • to discover that culture plays a crucial role in the development of modern societies and organizations
  • to understand the importance of cultural agility in business communication
  • to develop and master the intercultural intelligence necessary to succeed in different areas of our professional, public and private life

Please be aware that this is a Joint programme conducted by Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) at  Collegium Polonicum in Słubice
Please be advised that in order to become a student of this faculty at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, you should first be a student of Sprache - Medien - Gesellschaft (track Intercultural Communication) at the European University Viadrina.

Candidates who will not be students at EU Viadrina in the 2021/2022 academic year in the field of Sprache - Medien - Gesellschaft (track Intercultural Communication) will not be accepted for the field of Cultural Studies, specialization intercultural communication.

Work opportunities

Our graduates start and proceed their professional careers in cultural Institutions, co-creating important artistic initiatives and events in Poland as well as in many European countries. They conduct animation, social, and artistic activities in different associations as well as create the club culture of Poznań. Cooperating with numerous journals and publishers, our graduates co-create the critical artistic and publishing circuits. Our graduates have many career choices. Many among our former alumni have found their jobs in such areas as: media, advertisement, cultural tourism or even in broadly defined business.
