In the ranking process, seven groups of criteria were taken into consideration: the quality of program’s content (20%), employers’ preference (15%), alumni opinion (15%), quality of applying students (15%), quality of the teaching staff (15%), support of the teaching process (5%) and the perceived prestige of the diploma (15%). Altogether, 26 indicators were used to measure the above criteria.
Institutions whose MBA programs took part in the ranking had to fill in a questionnaire that included several dozens of detailed questions. Answers to these questions helped to establish who are the students, who are the teachers, what is the structure and scope of the program, what is the offer for the students, and what is the prestige of the institutions.
The alumni satisfaction is one of the principal characteristics of a good program. This is why alumni were asked to assess their program and to describe how it influenced their career. The survey was conducted by the Perspektywy Education Foundation on a group of 724 alumni who graduated in 2011 and 2012 (the respondent rate was 53,6%). Each institution could send no more than 15 names of their alumni.
The employers’ preference was measured in a survey commissioned by the Perspektywy Foundation and conducted by the INDICATOR Center for Marketing Research among a representative group of directors and HR managers in 500 enterprises in Poland.
