Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is the largest university in northern Poland and one of the leading in the country. It has 80 years of tradition. It is made up of 16 faculties, including three at NCU Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz. In Toruń, most of the faculties are located in a compact campus set amidst greenery, which includes the University Library, student dormitories, and relaxation and integration areas.

The center's strong scientific potential is confirmed by its membership in the elite group of the top 10 Polish research universities, selected in a competition by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The high level of teaching is evidenced by international accreditations, including AACSB, AMBA, Eurolabel, ENAEE.

NCU's research potential translates into a broad educational offer of more than 100 study programs. There are both university classics, as well as medical faculties, artistic faculties, including the conservation of works of art, and innovative, interdisciplinary ones, responding to modern challenges, such as cognitive science and digital economy. Excellent study conditions are provided by modern research and teaching facilities. Among many investments of this type there are the Center for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritage, the Center for Technical Sciences, the Institute of Psychology, designed with the participation of the academic community, and the Institute of Veterinary Medicine with a clinic for horses and a clinic for small animals. 

In addition, educational and research passions can be fulfilled in more than 100 scientific clubs and student organizations, competency blocks can be fulfilled and certificates confirming acquired competencies can be obtained free of charge, and as part of the Excellence Initiative, scholarships and research grants can be applied for.

What distinguishes NCU from other universities is its special approach to sports. For several years, the university has been running the Student-Athlete Dual Career Program, supporting the harmonious combination of studies and a professional sports career. Amateurs of a healthy lifestyle have at their disposal a well-equipped complex of the University Sports Center with a swimming pool, playing fields, courts and a wellness area. An expression of concern for well-being is also the activity of the University Support and Development Center, which offers free counselling and psychiatric assistance, as well as self-development trainings.
