Czestochowa University of Technology is the oldest and the largest higher education institution in the region, having full academic rights. All faculties have rights to confer doctoral degrees and five faculties have right to confer the status of habilitated doctor (associate professor).
CUT, during its seventy years of scientific and educational activities, has become an inherent part of Poland’s history and tradition of Czestochowa region and the city itself. In nationwide rankings of the state institutions higher education, we are among the top universities in Poland of a similar profile. The University produces highly educated students – over 88 000 alumni in total have already left CUT since it was established.
Currently, CUT offers courses to 6000 students within the framework of six Faculties. Students can choose from over 80 specialties in 40 fields of study.

The University is involved in several projects, research and education initiatives.
Students are mostly interested in the ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME.
Every year students have an opportunity to study one or two semesters in foreign academic centres, in one of European countries.
Moreover, students can undergo professional training abroad in a European country of their choice. Students’ mobility is financed from the University and European Union Funds.
ACCOMMODATION
There are three halls of residence conveniently located in the centre of the University campus. As all of the accommodation is within campus, there is no need for costly commuting. We offer a room for each international student. There are en-suite single or double study bedrooms or study bedrooms with shared bathrooms. There are also shared amenity areas where you can prepare your own meals. All study bedrooms have free connections to the Internet. The University will also help you find the right accommodation if you decide to make your own arrangements. We are committed to help you make the move to a foreign country as easy as possible.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The University prides itself on having excellent student infrastructure:
A wide range of high-standard laboratories and modern lecture rooms, its own publishing house and a brand new modern main library as well as three halls of residence offering places for over 2000 students.
CUT provides a free internet access for all students and employees.
In order to provide better service for international students we also have our International Students Office offering the most dedicated help in various matters.
Czestochowa is situated in the south of Poland just 120 km north of Cracow and 240 km south of capital city – Warsaw and lies in the picturesque Cracow – Czestochowa Upland, offering great opportunities for different forms of active tourism. It is an ideal city for students. The cost of living and accommodation is relatively low in comparison with other cities.
