Course Description

Course Profile

Do you want to try something new at our University? When your friends were browsing social media, you preferred to create development projects? Are you familiar with sustainable development and a responsible approach to business? We will teach you everything at the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences.

Responding to the newly emerging needs of our society, together with the Wrocław University of Science and Technology we have combined our forces and created a new programme in BIOECONOMY. During your study you will have classes at both universities, drawing from their unique knowledge and experience, and in the end you will receive two diplomas, one from the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences and one from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. During your degree you will not only gain knowledge in the field of bioeconomy, which is currently shaping a new labour market, you will also learn how to implement it in practice. Our lecturers will teach you everything there is to know about bioeconomy. You will have the opportunity to further develop your practical skills after your sixth semester, during 4 weeks of industrial practice in production plants, institutions and laboratories involved in the bioindustry. Additionally, the program features semester projects directly connected to the needs of the industry. The current trends related to the use of sustainable solutions in business require new advanced knowledge and specialized personnel for this market.

Education Requirements

A final secondary school diploma that gives the applicant the right to apply to higher education in its country of issue (e.g. A-levels, Leaving Certificate, Abitur, High School Diploma or equivalents). Applicants will be assessed based on their grades in their native language, one foreign language, and one of the following subjects: biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, geography, computer science.  

English language – at least level B2, a language certificate or another appropriate document is required.
