Tuition and Other Fees
Education at Doctoral School of Warsaw University of Technology is free.
Each participant is given a scholarship in the amount of:
PLN 3 467 (pre-tax, insurance premiums are deducted from this amount) – before mid-term evaluation,
PLN 5 341 (pre-tax, insurance premiums are deducted from this amount) - after mid-term evaluation
However, each candidate needs to pay a recruitment fee in the amount of PLN 200.

Course Profile
Represented disciplines:
1) architecture and urban planning;
2) automation, electronic, electrical engineering and space technologies;
3) information and communication technology;
4) biomedical engineering;
5) chemical engineering;
6) civil engineering, geodesy and transport;
7) materials engineering;
8) mechanical engineering;
9) environmental engineering, mining and energy;
10) mathematics;
11) chemical sciences;
12) physical sciences;
13) management and quality studies
14) biotechnology
Education Requirements
Requirements are specified in the educational program available on the Schools’ website.
Program requirements can be met as a result of:
1) completing classes from the program offer for PhD students of Warsaw University of Technology;
2) completing other classes offered for PhD students of Warsaw University of Technology, including those from the Center for Advanced Studies offer;
3) completing courses or other forms of organized activity (international summer school, conference/seminar/workshops for PhD students etc.) at other university or institution – Polish or foreign; No more than 5 ECTS can be obtained for such activities;
4) recognition of the learning outcomes achieved by the PhD student in a different way – as a result of non-formal education (outside the higher education and science system) as equivalent to the outcomes achieved as a result of the courses included in the program offer for PhD students at the Doctoral School of Warsaw University of Technology; No more than 3 ECTS can be obtained for such activities.
5) completing second cycle (Master) classes at Warsaw University of Technology or other university, necessary to supplement knowledge related to the subject of research conducted by a PhD student. No more than 3 ECTS can be obtained for such courses.
6) completing first cycle (Engineer) classes at Warsaw University of Technology or other universities, necessary to supplement knowledge related to the subject of research conducted by a PhD student. In this case it is required to prove that such knowledge cannot be obtained any other way. No more than 2 ECTS can be obtained for such classes.
Other Requirements
A candidate may be admitted to Doctoral School if (s)he:
1) has a Master’s degree, Master Engineer degree or equivalent, obtained in Poland or in other country, whereby the rules of recognition of education obtained abroad are determined by separate regulations, or meets the conditions referred to in art. 186, section 2 of the Act - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws from 2021, item 742 with later amendments), hereinafter referred to as the Act;
2) is not a PhD student in other Doctoral School
3) obtained at least grade 4 (good) or equivalent if the diploma is issued by a foreign university
4) registered in the IRK system within the time limit specified in the admissions schedule
5) submitted application to Doctoral School and other required documents within the time limit specified in the admissions schedule
6) paid the admissions fee within the specified time limit
7) passed the admissions procedure, including interview
