Course Profile
The 6-semester Bachelor’s degree program in International Business (IB) offers students a comprehensive range of topics necessary for the successful operation of businesses in the modern global environment. Besides its focus on economic theory, the program provides practical insights into the functioning of companies operating on local, regional, international, and global markets.
Upon successful completion of this program, the graduates will gain the knowledge necessary to analyze the economic and business environment from global and international perspective, develop functional strategies for sustainable organizational performance, and apply the theoretical knowledge from the field of Economics in the context of managerial decision-making and for analysis of economic trends and models. The objective of the study program in the field of IB is to enhance to an advanced degree key theories in international economics, finance, entrepreneurship, transactions, and payment methods in international business, also learning the rules and conditions of diverse activities undertaken by internationally-oriented enterprises. Knowledge of economic actors operating in global environment and complex political, economic, legal, social and cultural interrelationships among them and fundamental dilemmas of the modern civilization is also an essential area in international business. The development of skills how to use the acquired knowledge of identifying the key phenomena in the field of international economics and entrepreneurship, applying of suitable. Methods and tools are also significant part of the study program, just as ability to communicate with the environment using specialized terminology in the field of international economics, finance and business, organizing individual and team work, as well as planning and implementing lifelong learning, and using a foreign language at B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Being ready to properly carry out professional duties, recognizing the role of knowledge in solving practical problems and involvement in social entrepreneurial projects are also assets of the labor market, developing during the study program in the field of International Business.
