Course Description
Course Profile
The study of graphic design and multimedia arts is an interdisciplinary program, imparting thorough knowledge, awareness and competence in the creation of communication.
The Graphic Design and Multimedia Art programme is all about practice and developing design/artistic skills through the use of modern applications to create visual works in 2D and 3D. Students work on different projects on a daily basis using Unity, Blender, Maya, TouchDesigner and Adobe CC software. Collaboration with our partners – various educational and cultural institutions – provides the opportunity to create attractive and unique visual, luminous, musical and interactive creations.
Specialized areas:
• Design of an intelligent, interactive space based on multimedia installations
• Design of communication and game graphics as well as graphics for augmented reality applications
• User experience design
Education Requirements
Admission to studies is based on the presentation of a portfolio with artworks and an interview.
The interview aims to verify the candidate's level of the English language and covers the following topics: painting, architecture, theatre, film, exhibitions, museums.
The portfolio should include the following works:
drawing
• drawing of the human figure from nature - minimum format 50×70 and 70×50, minimum 5 pieces of drawings
• still life - format minimum 50×70 and 70×50, minimum 5 pieces of drawings
• other forms of drawings (any number of works).
painting
• landscape - painting work done by any technique on paper or cardboard (minimum format 50×70 and 70×50; minimum 5 painting works)
• still life - painting work done by any technique on paper or cardboard (minimum format 50×70 and 70×50; minimum 5 painting works)
• other painting forms (any number of works)
photography
• color or black and white - can be presented portrait photography, landscape, any composition, reportage. Photography can be provided in the form of prints (a minimum of10 pieces in A5 format or larger) or presented on a laptop / tablet in digital form.
Required Documents:
• digital photo of the candidate uploaded to the admission portal
• signed application form
• scanned copy of identity document (passport)
• scanned copy of the High School Diploma with its Transcript of records
• translation of documents (into Polish or English)
• apostille and nostrification (if necessary)
• confirmation of payment for the interview (150 PLN).
Other Requirements
Admission is based on an assessment of portfolio and a qualifying interview.
