Course Profile

The Tourism and Hospitality (Bachelor’s level) programme at University of Physical Education and Sport (GUPES)  is an ideal choice for those who want to work in a dynamic environment.

GUPES is located in Gdansk which  belongs to the Tri-city agglomeration (Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia). The Tricity is known as the great tourism destination, academic and science centre in Poland.

Studies in the field of Tourism and Hospitality are addressed to people who are interested in broadly understood tourism, recreation and hospitality.

A graduate is to be a person of comprehensive competences, both social and relating to the acquired knowledge and skills manifested on its basis. On the one hand, the study program is to guarantee the acquisition of universal skills, enabling professional implementation in many sectors of the tourism and hotel space, and on the other – to prepare for specialized business activities, without the need for additional preparation outside the course of studies.

The course is distinguished by highly qualified teaching staff and a significant number of practical classes in tourist institutions and hotel facilities.

Education Requirements

Registration of foreign candidates for academic year 2024/2025 in the IRK system to study in English starts  March 15 and lasts untill September 15, 2024

Academic year starts October 1, 2024.

If you don’t have Polish citizenship

you must apply as foreigner. All candidates applying to GUPES undergo the same proces of evaluation regardless of their qualifications.

If you have Polish citizenship (even as dual citizenship)

you must apply on the basis of rules for Polish citizens. Remember: if you hold multiple citizenships and Polish is one of them (e.g. dual citizenship), then you are legally a Polish citizen and you must apply on the basis of rules for Polish citizens.
