Course Profile

University of Physical Education and Sport (GUPES) is the only sports university in Pomerania where theoretical and practical classes are conducted by both recognized scientists and highly qualified specialists in the areas relevant to individual fields of study, as well as coaches of Olympic and national teams and outstanding athletes.

♦  University of Physical Education and Sport (GUPES) is the only sports university in Pomerania where theoretical and practical classes are conducted by both recognized scientists and highly qualified specialists in the areas relevant to individual fields of study, as well as coaches of Olympic and national teams and outstanding athletes.

♦  GUPES is one of the best sports universities in Central and Eastern Europe according to the Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Sport Science Schools and Departments, 2020-2023. In the Perspektywy magazine ranking for 2019-2023, GUPES placed 2nd among all sports universities in Poland.

♦ Studies in the field of sport management focus on work in sport industry – in​​ managing sport organizations and teams, managing sport infrastructure as well as in organizing sport events.

♦ The graduate will be prepared to work both with professional sportsmen and all other people who want to practice sport. Thanks to combining academic knowledge and practical skills, our graduates will stand out from graduates of similar faculties, especially the faculty of sport and the faculty of management and marketing. This is because we mainly focus on practical aspects of functioning of sport activities.

Education Requirements

Registration of foreign candidates for academic year 2024/2025 in the IRK system to study in English starts March 15 and lasts untill September 15, 2024.

Academic year starts October 1, 2024.

If you don’t have Polish citizenship

you must apply as foreigner. All candidates applying to GUPES undergo the same proces of evaluation regardless of their qualifications.

If you have Polish citizenship (even as dual citizenship)

you must apply on the basis of rules for Polish citizens. Remember: if you hold multiple citizenships and Polish is one of them (e.g. dual citizenship), then you are legally a Polish citizen and you must apply on the basis of rules for Polish citizens.
