Course Description

Course Profile

During lectures and practical classes, students acquire the most up-to-date knowledge in the field of general medicine, learn about midwifery from a practical perspective  and learn about the specific nature of work in health care facilities.

Students acquire skills in providing health services for: 

• women and their families, 

• pregnant woman 

• a woman giving birth 

• midwife and newborns.

Students of midwifery gain knowledge and skills in the area of perinatal medicine, prophylactic and care procedures for a pregnant woman, a woman in labour and the neonate during the first days of life. Our graduates’ skills contribute to the quality of life of a family. The programme offers opportunities to learn professional care procedures during gestation, delivery and puerperium.

Holders of the bachelor’s degree in midwifery are prepared to practice their profession independently. They are ready to promote health, to offer prophylactic solutions and to provide professional obstetric and gynaecological care.

Education Requirements

Qualification to English language program is based on:

- secondary school leaving examination certificate or secondary education diploma or equivalent which entitles the candidate to be considered for admission to a university program in the country it was obtained

- certificate documenting English language fluency level
