Course Description

Course Profile

Earth Sciences in a Changing World is an undergraduate interdisciplinary programme that offers a rigorous international and comparative perspective on the contemporary global system. Its mission is to foster creative thinking about complex global problems and to equip students with the analytical tools and cross-cultural understanding to guide them in that process.

The main goal of the programme is to provide basic knowledge

in geography, geology and anthropogenic transformations in the environment and their impact on the lives of local communities and global change. Students gain the ability to observe and interpret phenomena and conduct basic analytical work both individually and teamwork. They also develop adaptability to changing socio-economic      environment, civic responsibility and independence.

Education Requirements

Studies can be undertaken by candidates who hold: 

-   international secondary education document: document entitling its

    holder to undertake first- or long-cycle studies in its country of 

     issue,

-   Polish Matura (2005–2024),

-   Polish maturity certificate (issued up until 2005),

-   International Baccalaureate,

 -  European Baccalaureate.

Upon filling out the application form, the candidate does not have to hold the documents mentioned above yet. The deadline is for entering the data about the document and uploading its copy (if required) to the IRK, specified in the admission schedule, is the last day of submitting applications in a particular application round. Details are provided in IRK system.

A document that confirms the right to study is required at the enrollment stage.

The final admission result is calculated based on the interview (online oral entry exam). The interview is conducted in English and its aim is to assess candidate's aptitude for the programme, including their English proficiency.
